Douglas S. Bailey

Owner of SERVPRO® of Gaylord & Cheboygan since 1999, and becoming sole owner in 2005. Doug’s experience in the industry started with him working for Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance for 8 years as a Senior Adjuster, AIC, then co-owner of SERVPRO® of Saginaw from 1998-2004, which is recognized as the Extreme Team. Originally, Doug Bailey started the SERVPRO® of Gaylord & Cheboygan franchise. After establishing the Gaylord & Cheboygan territory in 2000, Doug then began expanding and running a franchise in the Upper Peninsula in 2009. In late 2019, another expansion was made which added the SERVPRO® of Bellaire, Kalkaska, Lake City & Grayling to the servicing area.  Doug received his business degree from Northwood University, carries a builder’s license, is certified through the IICRC as a Water Damage Restoration Technician, has taken Mold Remediation Training through Consultants Restoration, and Applied Structural Drying Certification. He and his wife Becky reside in Cheboygan.

Jamie Hicks

Jamie joined SERVPRO® in 2002 as a Project Manager, and is now our Operations Manager. He is an 11 year Veteran of the United States Air Force, and is a graduate of Lake Superior State University. After graduating college Jamie was employed as a Senior Claims Adjuster for State Farm Insurance for 3 years. Jamie has been an asset to this company with his adjusting experience and construction background. He has several certifications through the IICRC that include Water Restoration Technician, Applied Structural Drying Technician, and Commercial Drying Specialist. Jamie is also Mold Remediation Contractor through MICRO and is a licensed Asbestos Abatement Supervisor. Jamie and his wife Michelle reside in Gaylord.

Shawn Lupton

Shawn started with SERVPRO in 2002 as Office Support Staff writing estimates and managing direct referral accounts. She was promoted to Office Manager, Marketing Representative and worked her way into Project Management. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management with a minor in Marketing from Saginaw Valley State University. Her certifications include: Water Damage Restoration Technician through the IICRC. Applied Structural Drying Tech, Applied Microbial Remediation, Fire & Smoke Remediation, Odor Control, & Trauma Scene Clean Up. Shawn has a daughter and resides in Gaylord with her fiancé Mark and their two dogs.

Dan Preston

Dan brings over 10 years of Commercial Facility Maintenance and Construction experience to SERVPRO’s team of Project Managers since 2015. Dan holds multiple certifications from Applied Structural Drying, Commercial Drying Specialist and Applied Microbial Remediation. Dan focus’ on all aspects of the restoration from the initial mitigation to full building reconstruction. In his time off you can find Dan, his wife and 2 children in Cheboygan immersed in Northern Michigan’s great outdoors from the water to the snow.

Adam McGhan

Graduate of Constantine High School with a focus on Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Building Trades. Served in the United States Army & Navy from 1995 until 2013 when he medically retired. Adam has owned his own carpet cleaning and janitorial services company with a focus on employing and empowering veterans and their families. His education background is as follows; a graduate of the Army’s Basic and Advanced Leader Course (BLC, ALC), Ashford University (Clinton, IA) and is IICRC Certified as a Water Damage Restoration Technician. Adam enjoys hunting, writing, painting and spending time with his Chesapeake Bay Retriever Sadie. As well, Adam is a member of the Michigan Hemingway Society.

Amber Farley

Amber brings to our team over 10 years experience in the restoration industry.  Her expertise in the industry started with a hands on position working in the field as a Crew Leader and is now part of the Project Management team specializing in water mitigation, fire and smoke cleanup and deodorization and mold remediation.  Amber has her Water Damage Restoration, Fire & Smoke Restoration, Odor Control, Applied Microbial Remediation and her Biohazard Trauma Scene Cleanup Certifications. 

Amber loves spending time with her family including her nieces and nephews and loves the outdoors!

Josh Bailey

Josh joined our team in September of 2016 as part of our Marketing Department and is now working as a Project Manager.  Josh graduated from Northwood University in 2016 with a degree in Business Management and has his Water Damage Restoration Certification through the IICRC.  He is continuing to further his knowledge and expertise in the restoration industry.  In his free time, Josh enjoys fishing and hunting in the great outdoors of Northern Michigan.

Tim Lawes

Born and raised in Northern Michigan, Tim grew up on the shores of Lake Huron in Rogers City. After high school, working for 4 years on the Great Lakes Freighter’s and made his career change at age 22 to the construction field. In 1998 he became a licensed Residential Builder and opened his own construction company for over 16 years. Tim became part of the SERVPRO team in 2014 as a Project Manager. He has retained his builder’s license, and is certified in Water Damage Restoration as well as Applied Microbial Remediation. He and his wife, Tonia are blessed to have 2 daughters, Breanna and Devan as well as a son Mason. In their free time they enjoy camping, fishing, boating, and just getting together as a family to cookout and play games.

Dylan Brandt

Dylan has joined SERVPRO as a Project Manager, handling all aspects of the restoration process.  Having over 10+ years experience in customer service and management, he is a great asset to have on our team and working with our customers.  Dylans' restoration experience comes from working with his family owned carpet cleaning and restoration company as well as having a construction background.  Dylan and his family, wife and daughter, enjoy the outdoor activities that Northern Michigan has to offer, especially being on the water, hiking and snowmobiling.

Benjamin Blake

Ben joined our team in the summer of 2020 as a member of the Marketing Department. He is excited to further his knowledge in the restoration industry and to develop and establish his roots in Northern Michigan. He is a 2020 graduate of Northwood University where he majored in marketing and is also Google Analytics certified.  Ben’s proudest marketing achievement is receiving a Special Certificate of Congressional Recognition from the United States House of Representatives for some of his digital marketing work. In his free time you can find him spending time outdoors, fishing, playing sports, or working on graphic design.

Jill Alread

Jill Alread is the Office Manager here at SERVPRO. Our Office Administrative staff work together closely from beginning to end. When you call in you will be greeted by them when reporting your initial First Notice of Loss and following that they perform all of the related duties and tasks to make sure the entire claims process for our clients is satisfactory and runs smoothly.
